In January there is a lot of talk of new year’s resolutions. Often times these resolutions involve getting healthier after indulging through the holidays, but these seem to fall by the wayside after a few weeks. Instead of setting new year’s resolutions that you won’t follow through with, here are some tips to set some goals for the new year that you can achieve.
Write your goals down. If you write them down you can come back to them later and reassess when you need to. If you write them down, you are more likely to find clarity over what your goal actually is.
Make them achievable. Instead of setting one big goal that will take the whole year to achieve, break it into several smaller goals that are easier to achieve. When you reach one smaller goal, it gives you forward momentum to reach the rest.
Share them with someone. Another person who is aware of your goals can help hold you accountable. If you need someone to share your health and fitness goals with, Leigh is always available to listen and tailor your sessions to help you achieve your goals for the year.
